The double in my life

Thanks for all the sweet comments and messages to my inbox about the decision to be with my kiddos on the weekends. Don't worry I still will offer holiday sessions on the weekends. (just maybe not as many in the past.)

Those of you who know me and know me well know that my favorite place in the world is pretty much the beach. The area of 30A in Florida to be exact. I just can't get enough of it.

Here is a few pics of the double in my life while we were at the beach last week!

New Hours

When I started Double Takes Photography it was to be a part time hobby to help pay for extras for my family. I was a stay at home mom and it was a great way for me to be able to help bring in an income and be with my girls too.

As time has gone on Double Takes has taken off in a way I could NEVER imagine. It is beyond my wildest dreams! It has now become a 40-60 hour a week job. I am sooo very blessed by all the customers who have supported my dream.

This summer my heart has broken over and over as I have had my six year olds numerous times ask to play a game, watch a movie with them, go play outside with them, and in the same breath say or do you have to edit? As a most of my customers are moms I hope you can understand the direction I am taking Double Takes. I want to work as much as I can while my kiddos are in school and actually enjoy every second with them that I can outside of school.

After much agonizing I have decided I will no longer taking appointments on the weekends. I will be having a set schedule at the beginning of each month to limit the amount of shoots I will be taking each week. I will still do early morning shoots and evening shoots to accomodate parents that need to head to work or leave work a tad early to do a shoot. For holiday shoots I will do a limited amount of weekend shoots.

I hope that you can all understand and that I can continue to take pictures of your beautiful children.

Chick Pics

It's almost that time of year! SPRING!!! Time for those adorable Chick pics!

I will be having live baby chicks to take pics with your adorable kiddos! They will be 20 minutes sessions. They will be $75 and include the session fee AND 20-30 high resolution edited images on a jump drive for you to print yourself. You can provide the jump drive, or I can provide one for $20. This is for ONE family only. If you would like to do cousins etc. please contact me for pricing.

You are MORE than welcome to bring easter baskets with you.
It will take me 2-3 weeks to get your edited pictures back to you.

These are the dates and times I will be doing them. If all these slots fill up I may add a few more.

I will need a $25 deposit to hold your appointment.

Sat. March 19th at the Landing in Covington 10-3:30
Sunday March 20th at City Park in New Orleans from 1:00-4:00
Tues March 22nd at Longue Vue House and Gardens in New Orleans 10:00-2:30
Wed March 23rd at the Landing in Covington 9:00-12:00

A tiny Ballerina and Her Big Sister

A tiny Ballerina and her big sister.... they were a ton of fun to take pictures of! After the little princess let go of her snack she had a great time playing in the tutu. She loved the fountain and her big sister sure did know how to make her smile! Thanks B for letting me take pics of your girls!!!

Sweet girl

Oh what a fun sweet silly girl! We got the many faces of this sweet girl. After also rescheduling numerous times we finally got to take her pictures at Fairview Riverside State Park. It was quite a fun shoot. She was willing to show me her dance moves, skip, run, climb trees, and blow her mom kisses! She is such a sweet girl. Thanks M for letting me take pics of your beautiful girl.

Stunning Sisters

This is also girls I have taken QUITE a few pictures of since I have started Double Takes. They are just two STUNNING sisters and really know how to pose around the camera for sweet, serious, and silly pictures. I had a great time at City Park taking pictures of these girls! Sweet and a Little Sassy

I have gotten the opportunity to capture this sweet beautiful girl AE numerous times this past year. I am so glad her mom drives from MS to let me take pictures of her beautiful children. AE I just adore you and love taking pics of your beautiful smile, and we even got you to be a little sassy on this shoot!
